Dr. Khushbu Shah, MD, Founder and Lead Clinician of Konnect Therapy in Woodbridge Township, NJ, leads a pediatric-focused practice offering psychotherapy, speech therapy, and other services for children and adolescents. Driven by her belief in individualized, multidisciplinary care, Dr. Shah utilizes sensory integration, play therapy, cognitive behavioral techniques, and parent coaching to address each child’s unique needs. She is dedicated to comprehensive, affordable care that supports both psychological and communicative development. As an advocate for inclusive healthcare, Dr. Shah ensures Konnect Therapy provides accessible, transgender-safe services for diverse families. Trained in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, she combines expertise with compassion to help every child reach their potential.

Danielle Marino (she, her)

Art Therapist, MA, LPAT, ATR-BC

Danielle Marino is a licensed mental health professional and experienced clinician dedicated to working with children and adolescents. She specializes in integrating creative arts therapies with traditional talk therapy, enabling each child to express and process their experiences in ways that are meaningful and unique to them. Danielle’s approach assists young individuals in navigating a range of challenges, including stress, trauma, emotional overwhelm, behavioral difficulties, mood concerns, anxiety, depression, and transitions in life. By combining evidence-based practices with creative expression, she helps clients access thoughts and feelings that may be difficult to articulate through words alone. She offers a supportive, grounded, and nonjudgmental space where children and teens can develop emotional awareness, learn coping skills, and build a stronger sense of self. Danielle also brings extensive experience in guiding parents to better understand and respond to their child’s emotional and behavioral needs. If a child is feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or struggling to cope, Danielle provides a therapeutic environment in which they feel seen, supported, and not alone. She tailors her methods to meet each child’s developmental and emotional stage, ensuring individualized care and support.

Saumya Patel

Saumya Patel serves as the patient coordinator and front desk at Konnect Therapy and is the first point of contact for patients and their families. Her responsibility is to ensure that every interaction is welcoming and seamless, setting the tone for the clinic experience. Saumya oversees a range of essential front-office duties, including appointment scheduling, patient registration, and insurance coordination. Her attention to detail and organizational skills help streamline these processes, contributing to the overall efficiency of the clinic. Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Saumya uses her academic knowledge to enhance administrative operations at Konnect Therapy. Her practical application of business principles supports the clinic’s efforts to maintain high standards of administrative performance. Saumya is deeply devoted to the team’s goal of providing accessible mental health services. She takes pride in fostering a positive and supportive environment for every individual who enters the clinic, helping to make mental health care welcoming and approachable for all.
