Speech therapy and Psychotherapy integration is vital as they address the complex relationship between communication, emotions, and mental health. Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) can address communication barriers that contribute to mental health challenges, such as difficulty expressing feelings. At the same time, a mental health professional can work with the client on the emotional impact of speech disorders or anxiety related to communication. This collaborative approach provides a more comprehensive and effective treatment plan by treating both the communication disorder and the associated mental health concerns.

You are entitled to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” detailing the anticipated costs of your medical care. Health care providers must furnish uninsured or self-pay patients with an estimate for medical items and services. This includes projections for related expenses such as medical tests, prescriptions, equipment, and facility fees.
Your provider is obligated to deliver a written Good Faith Estimate at least one business day before your scheduled service or item. You may also request an estimate in advance from your chosen provider.
If you are billed $400 or more above your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charge. Retain a copy or image of your Good Faith Estimate for reference. For additional information regarding your rights to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
